ONE NOVEMBER

A new jewellery business logo

One November is a new jewellery business that needed a logo designed to help define the style and quality of jewellery they are creating. I was fortunate to work with this client, as she had a clear idea of what she wanted from the very beginning and knew her business structure back to front.

The client had very clear ideas of what her brand would look like, so very little research was needed on my part. I did however have a little look around to ensure that the aesthetic ideas and the target audience would align well.

Navy blue and a yellow/gold was one of the strongest ideas from the client and I was happy to see that this colour combination was often used in high-end logo designs.

I didn't need to do many sketches to clarify ideas, however I am glad that I added an element here and there to distinguish One November from other simple navy blue and gold coloured brands.

Bringing these sketches into illustrator encouraged me to explore the typographic element of the logo. I did not want to use a font unaltered, it was very important to me that the graphic shape of the triangle was also reflected in the shape of the typography. It is subtleties like this that gives the One November logo a uniqueness.

Having played with a couple of different ideas and applying a metallic-looking gradient, I presented the above choices to the client for her to decide on. I have included the social media layouts and white background versions simply to provide a more holistic view. Given that this is a new business, a smart social media presence is important, and as is versatility - such as background colour.

The third logo was selected and is proudly gleaming on One November's instagram page.
